North Versailles Man Receives Harsh Sentence for Violating Supervised Release

In a recent federal court proceeding, Antoine Walls, a 25-year-old resident of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, was handed a 10-month prison sentence for violating the terms of his federal supervised release. Walls’ conviction stems from his 2013 conviction for violating federal narcotics laws.

According to Assistant United States Attorney Heidi M. Grogan, Walls’ supervised release was revoked by United States District Judge Mark R. Hornak following an investigation into Walls’ unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition while on supervised release. This possession not only violated the terms of his supervised release but also federal firearms laws.

This is not the first time Antoine Walls has found himself on the wrong side of the law. In April 2018, Judge Hornak sentenced Walls to 44 months in prison for violating federal firearms laws. Walls was also given a three-year supervised release term.

Today, Judge Hornak ruled that Walls may serve six months of his 10-month sentence concurrently with the sentence imposed last month. Additionally, the 18-month term of supervised release imposed as part of this sentence may be served concurrently with the sentence recently imposed for violating federal firearms laws.

United States Attorney Scott W. Brady praised the Drug Enforcement Administration for their diligent work in investigating and prosecuting Walls. The successful prosecution of Walls is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of the DEA.

The case against Antoine Walls serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of violating supervised release terms. Walls’ sentence highlights the importance of adhering to the conditions set forth by the court, even after a conviction has been served.
