Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Mail Theft Conspiracy

BUFFALO, N.Y. – A 25-year-old Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail theft and possession of a postal service key, charges that carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

According to court documents, Antonio Jones, Jr. conspired with Eric Michael Robinson and Lamor Runell Bolden to steal mail from mail receptacles in Cheektowaga, NY, on October 2, 2024.

Jones, Jr., along with his co-conspirators, used a stolen key to open mailboxes at the postal facility, stealing mail from the receptacles while Bolden stood watch. The three were stopped by law enforcement a short time later, and various opened and unopened pieces of mail were found inside their vehicle.

Jones, Jr. admits that he and his co-conspirators used the stolen key to open mailboxes at other locations around the Western District of New York.

The plea is the result of an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Cheektowaga Police Department. Sentencing for Jones, Jr. is scheduled for October 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

Jones, Jr. faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. His co-conspirators, Eric Michael Robinson and Lamor Runell Bolden, were previously convicted and are awaiting sentencing.
