Washington, D.C. – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the addition of 21 foreign entities to its Registration Deficient List (RED List), bringing the total number of listed entities to 125. The RED List, first launched in September 2015, identifies unregistered firms believed to be soliciting funds from U.S. residents for trading in binary options and foreign currency (forex) without proper registration with the CFTC.
The entities added include Astercap Ltd., Fundix Inc., Broker Official, Global Consulting Group, Axetrades, Goldex Technology Limited, B&K Investment, K2 Investing, Binary Mate, Markets The World, Binary Options Ltd., Options Robot, Binary Options Robot, Signals Binary, Capital City Markets, Suomen Kerran LP d/b/a/ Finministry, DineroLibre, Trade24 Global Ltd., Finance Group Corp., UTC Broker, and Forward Option. A complete list is available via the RED List link provided by the CFTC.
The CFTC emphasizes that registration does not guarantee against fraud, but it does impose financial standards, disclosure requirements, and accountability measures under the Commodity Exchange Act. The agency shares the RED List with other regulators, media outlets, and industry groups to raise awareness.
The action comes as the CFTC continues to warn consumers about fraudulent schemes involving binary options trading platforms. These schemes often involve refusal to credit accounts, denial of fund reimbursement, identity theft, and manipulation of trading software to ensure losing trades. The CFTC urges customers to report suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 866-FON-CFTC or by filing a tip online.
The RED List is a component of the CFTC’s broader efforts to protect U.S. investors from fraudulent commodity trading practices. While the agency did not announce specific penalties or charges with this update, the inclusion on the RED List is a public notice of unregistered activity and may be followed by further enforcement actions.
CFTC staff members Erica Bodin, Michelle Bougas, Larissa England, Hannah Huynh, Brigitte Weyls, and Rick Glaser were responsible for compiling the RED List.
