Bianca Victoria Aroche, 24, of Sparta, North Carolina, is going behind bars for her role in a methamphetamine conspiracy that affected the Hillsville and Galax regions of Virginia.
According to Assistant United States Attorney Ashley B. Neese, Aroche, along with others, distributed methamphetamine in and around Hillsville and Galax starting in the spring of 2014 and continuing until at least August 2014. The evidence presented in court showed that the group conspired to possess with the intent to distribute and distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Aroche previously pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. In a Roanoke courtroom, she was sentenced to 65 months in federal prison, a consequence of her actions.
The investigation into the case was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Virginia State Police, the Galax Police Department, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Ashley B. Neese handled the prosecution of the case on behalf of the United States.
The Hillsville and Galax regions were affected by the methamphetamine conspiracy. The group’s activities had a significant impact on the community, and their actions are being held accountable.
Aroche, 24, will serve a 65-month prison sentence for her role in the methamphetamine conspiracy. The sentence reflects the severity of the crime and the harm it caused to the community.
