San Antonio’s Bloods gang member Lawrence Lamont Manor, also known as Lawrence King or ‘Big Boy,’ finds himself behind bars along with two alleged accomplices after a high-stakes drug trafficking operation was thwarted by federal authorities. United States Attorney Richard L. Durbin, Jr., and Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs announced the arrests on Monday.
The trio—Manor, 32, Michael Deshon Norman, 44 (known as ‘Mike’), and Tremal Rowe, 32 (also known as Chi-Town)—are facing charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 280 grams of ‘crack’ cocaine. The allegations span from March 13, 2017, to May 1, 2017.
According to the federal criminal complaint, Manor’s residence was a hub for converting cocaine into crack and then selling it to customers. On April 30, 2017, the defendants are accused of kidnapping a customer over an unpaid debt, holding him captive at Manor’s home on the city’s east side until May 1, when agents observed Rowe leaving the property.
After executing a search warrant, agents found Norman inside and the victim tied up by rope with his head covered. The victim was released following the incident.
All three defendants remain in federal custody, facing decades behind bars if convicted of their charges. The investigation leading to these arrests was carried out by the FBI with support from the San Antonio Police Department.
As always, a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
