MONTANA METH TRAFFICKING RING SMASHED

BILLINGS, MT – In a major blow to Montana’s methamphetamine trade, a Worden couple has admitted to meth trafficking crimes, with a combined 20 years of mandatory prison time hanging over their heads.

Lisa Marie Fish, 39, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine in a hearing held today, while her husband, Bo Bryan Fish, 40, had already pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute meth on January 27. Each faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine, and at least five years of supervised release.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson, investigators with the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Task Force found 10 pounds of methamphetamine in the couple’s vehicle during a traffic stop near Worden. This amount is equivalent to approximately 36,240 doses.

The investigation revealed that Bo Fish had been acquiring bulk quantities of meth, ranging from five to 20 pounds per trip, from Colorado. Lisa Fish furthered the conspiracy by setting up drug deals and traveling with her husband to pick up meth from out of state.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Colin Rubich is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the FBI Western Transnational Organized Crime Task Force.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a U.S. Department of Justice initiative aimed at reducing violent crime. Through PSN, federal, tribal, state, and local law enforcement partners in Montana focus on violent crime driven by methamphetamine trafficking, armed robbery, firearms offenses, and violent offenders with outstanding warrants.
