Alex Boyd, Gun Shop Theft, Minnesota 2024

United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger has announced the indictment of Alex Boyd, 38, Sasha Marie Erdner, 30, and Trinity James Wicka, 19, for their alleged role in the theft of approximately 75 firearms from the Millville Rod and Gun Shop in Minnesota.

According to authorities, Boyd, a convicted felon, faces an additional charge of illegally possessing a firearm. The trio is accused of orchestrating the September 1, 2016, heist, during which they kicked in the door and broke into display cases, making off with a trove of handguns.

Following the burglary, Boyd and three accomplices were charged with two aggravated robberies in Winona, Minn., on September 2, 2016. Additionally, on September 16, 2016, a juvenile was apprehended with 15 stolen handguns from the same source.

The investigation was led by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in partnership with local law enforcement agencies. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Steinkamp is leading the prosecution.
