Brady Leon Beck Jr, Child Pornography Manufacturing and Distributio…

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A grim day in the courts as Brady Leon Beck, Jr., a registered sex offender from Monroe, N.C., was sentenced to 50 years behind bars for manufacturing and distributing child pornography.

Chief U.S. District Judge Frank D. Whitney handed down the harsh sentence, accompanied by a lifetime of supervised release and mandatory registration upon his eventual freedom.

The saga began in June 2014 when Beck produced graphic images of a three-year-old victim using his cell phone. His criminal enterprise expanded when he shared this monstrous material with another individual via email, a discovery that led to the execution of search warrants against him.

Law enforcement seized electronic devices revealing a disturbing collection of child abuse imagery, spanning from infants to teenagers. Beck’s email account contained further proof of his sinister activities, including exchanges of child pornography with multiple individuals, including the three-year-old victim.

Brady Leon Beck Jr., who was convicted of second-degree rape in 2004 for attacking a 10-year-old girl, pleaded guilty in December 2016 to transporting child pornography and committing a felony offense involving a minor while registered as a sex offender. His federal sentence, without parole possibility, is served in the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Today’s verdict was made possible by the combined efforts of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Gastonia Police Department, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Charlotte. The case is a testament to Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort combating online exploitation of children since 2006.
