Brandon Bendall, Child Pornography, Massachusetts 2026

A Wareham man has been found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography, a horrific crime that has shaken the community.

Brandon Bendall, 50, pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.

According to court documents, Bendall was a member of an online chat group where members viewed and posted child sexual abuse material. During a search of his residence and cell phone, authorities found approximately 9,400 images and videos of child pornography, including images of children as young as infants being sexually assaulted.

The charges of receipt and possession of child pornography each carry a sentence of at least five years and up to 20 years in prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.

Bendall was arrested and charged by criminal complaint on May 2, 2025, and indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2025.

U.S. District Court Judge Myong J. Joun has scheduled sentencing for May 7, 2026.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
