Michael Jatsko, Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Fentanyl, Florida 2025

Orlando, Florida – A high-profile drug trafficking ring in Brevard County has been shattered as United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the return of an indictment charging Michael Jatsko (34, Melbourne), Alivia Mae Assidio (23, Melbourne), and Leonard Ronald Nile, Jr. (52, Melbourne) with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and fentanyl.

Jatsko and Assidio are also facing distribution of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. If convicted on all counts, Jatsko and Assidio could each face life in federal prison, while Nile is looking at 40 years.

The indictment comes after law enforcement intercepted Jatsko and Nile on June 24, 2025, during a high-speed chase that ended with multiple kilograms of cocaine found in their vehicle. Subsequent searches uncovered substantial quantities of fentanyl and cocaine, as well as firearms, from the defendants’ residence and storage unit.

Jatsko and Assidio both had prior felony drug convictions, making it illegal for them to possess firearms or ammunition under federal law.

An indictment is a formal charge and does not prove guilt. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office – Special Investigations Unit, and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert D. Sowell.

This operation is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative to eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations and protect communities from violent crime.
