Dexton Brunson, Cocaine and Marijuana Possession with Intent to Distribute, Pennsylvania 2016

HARRISBURG – A Chambersburg man is facing federal charges for his alleged role in a drug trafficking operation.

Dexton Brunson, 44, was indicted by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking charges, including possessing cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute, and conspiracy.

The charges stem from a December 2016 search of Brunson’s home by the Pennsylvania State Police and the United States Marshals Service, which turned up cocaine and marijuana.

The case was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police, the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Marshals Service, and the Harrisburg Resident Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Assistant United States Attorney William A. Behe is prosecuting the case, which has sparked concern in the community.

‘Indictments and Criminal Informations are only allegations,’ a statement from the United States Attorney’s Office noted. ‘All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.’

If convicted, Brunson faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for each drug charge, as well as a fine of $1 million dollars and a term of supervised release.
