United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today the seizure of 230 illegal firearms and the charging of 112 defendants in South Dakota. Among these, Bryan Louis Archambeau stands out for his violent actions.
In a brazen display of disregard for the law, Archambeau was caught brandishing a pistol during a botched robbery at the 49’er Marathon C-Store in Sioux Falls. Archambeau’s criminal spree also included a threat to a clerk with a firearm at the Freedom Valu Center.
The Sioux Falls Police Department and ATF were quick to respond, leading to Archambeau’s conviction on charges of Interference with Commerce by Means of Robbery and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence. He was handed a sentence of nearly 11 years in federal prison.
