BUFFALO, NY – Victor Marshall, a 36-year-old Buffalo resident, has been sentenced to 130 months in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring that supplied large quantities of the drug to the city’s streets. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara handed down the sentence after Marshall was convicted of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney George C. Burgasser, who prosecuted the case, Marshall supplied cocaine to co-defendants Gerry Spencer, Besari Torres, and Mario Pena between 2011. The defendants then distributed the cocaine in the City of Buffalo. In addition to supplying his co-defendants, Marshall was also caught selling cocaine to a confidential informant on two separate occasions, on October 7 and October 19, 2011.
The investigation into Marshall’s activities was led by the Safe Streets Task Force, a multi-agency task force directed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The task force’s efforts resulted in the conviction and sentencing of not only Marshall, but also his co-defendants, who have been convicted of similar charges and sentenced to time in prison.
