GRIMY NEWS: A California man has been convicted in a chilling case of child exploitation.
Justin Fuller, a 37-year-old bridge maintenance supervisor from Modesto, was found guilty after a 10-day trial on 14 offenses, including engaging in a child exploitation enterprise and producing child pornography.
The evidence revealed that between November 2013 and March 2016, Fuller and five co-conspirators used a video chat website to lure prepubescent girls into sexually explicit acts. They recorded the victims’ actions without their knowledge, all while communicating through encrypted chatrooms.
Fuller’s co-conspirators were sentenced to various prison terms, including one who received 35 years imprisonment followed by supervised release and $60,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors Austin M. Berry and April N. Russo led the case, which was investigated by the FBI and the SEMTEC task force. The conviction is part of Project Safe Childhood, a federal initiative to combat child sexual exploitation.
