Larceny Rocks Timber Lake, South Dakota
A 18-year-old man from Timber Lake, South Dakota, is facing the consequences of his actions after being convicted of Larceny.
Chapen Kraft, a resident of Timber Lake, South Dakota, was sentenced to 18 months of probation by U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on June 3, 2015.
Additionally, Kraft was ordered to pay a special assessment of $25 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
The conviction stems from an incident that took place between September 15, 2014, and October 11, 2014, when Kraft broke into a barn or storage shed and stole a number of items, including a two-ton jack, a 12-volt jumper box, a roll of air hose, an 8-foot roll of cable, and a used vehicle tire.
The case was investigated by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Agency, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Carrie G. Sanderson prosecuted the case.

As the people of Timber Lake, South Dakota, can rest a little easier knowing that Kraft is being held accountable for his actions, the community will continue to work towards building a safer and more secure future for all.
