CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a shocking turn of events, Charles Lynn, a 41-year-old from Uniontown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 115 months in prison for possession of stolen firearms, announced U.S. Attorney Bill Powell.
The crime, which took place in October 2018 in Monongalia County, involved Lynn admitting to possessing three stolen firearms: a 12-gauge shotgun, a .308 caliber rifle, and a 7mm caliber rifle. Lynn, a convicted felon, pleaded guilty to the charge in February 2020.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah E. Wagner prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police investigated the crime.

Lynn’s sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of holding individuals accountable for their crimes and the impact it has on the community.
