CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The grim details of a disturbing case have emerged as Elliot Atwell, 34, a Charlottesville-based virtual bodybuilding coach, has pled guilty to federal child exploitation and child pornography charges.
The defendant faces a harrowing sentence for his despicable actions, which included the sexual exploitation of at least six minors over a period of three years. Atwell stands accused of one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of, and access with the intent to view, child pornography, each carrying a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a possible maximum of 30 years.
