Zachary Christian Neu, a 32-year-old former assistant principal at Wylie East High School in Texas, has been charged with federal child exploitation violations. Neu, of Richardson, was arrested and charged with two counts of enticement of a minor. The alleged offenses occurred while Neu was still working at the high school. The case is being investigated by the Wylie Police Department and the FBI, and is part of the nationwide Project Safe Childhood initiative.
Neu appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Aileen Durrett on June 17, 2026. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Calli Bailey. Project Safe Childhood was launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The investigation and prosecution of Neu’s case demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement agencies to protecting children from exploitation. The FBI and local police departments are working together to identify and apprehend individuals who exploit children, and to rescue victims.
