A 46-year-old man from Baldwinsville, New York, has been charged with distributing child pornography over the internet. Travis Corley allegedly used a Peer-to-Peer network to share the disturbing content with other users. The incident occurred in July 2026, when Corley was caught by authorities. The reason behind his actions is still unclear, but the consequences are severe.
Corley’s initial appearance was on July 16, 2026, before United States Magistrate Judge Mitchell J. Katz. At a detention hearing the next day, he was released pending trial. If convicted, Corley faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum of 20 years, along with a fine of up to $250,000 and a term of supervised release of at least 5 years and up to life.
The US Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) worked together to bring Corley to justice. First Assistant US Attorney John Sarcone praised HSI’s efforts, saying they work tirelessly to protect children from online predators. Acting Special Agent in Charge Anthony Patrone also condemned Corley’s alleged actions, calling them a depraved assault on safety, dignity, and innocence.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative that empowers law enforcement to use advanced investigative tools to identify and stop those who exploit children.
