Clyde Hall, a 60-year-old Portland man, has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography after a social media company tipped off the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in December 2025. Hall, who has a prior federal conviction for the same crime, was found to have thousands of child sexual abuse files on his Google account, along with a selfie and personal information. The investigation was led by Homeland Security Investigations with assistance from the Portland Police Department.
Hall’s Google account contained numerous emails, package delivery information, and banking details, all of which linked him to the account and the illicit files. The account also included a photo of Hall, making it clear that he was the one responsible for the child porn.
The case highlights the ongoing issue of child sexual abuse material online, with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children receiving 36 million reports in 2023 alone. Hall faces a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison, as well as a fine of up to $250,000 and a lifetime of supervised release.
