Pennsylvania Man Sentenced to 100 Years in Prison for Child Abuse

Lawrence Jamieson, 59, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 100 years in federal prison for his heinous crimes against a minor girl.

Jamieson’s twisted collection of child pornography included over 14.4 million images, reportedly the largest collection in Pennsylvania. He began collecting these disturbing images approximately 15 years ago, featuring toddlers and infants being sexually assaulted by adult men and women, and in some cases, by animals.

But Jamieson’s crimes didn’t stop there. He concocted a plot to sexually assault a vulnerable victim who was in his care. The victim, who had been diagnosed with Autism and suffered from learning disabilities and mental health issues, was targeted by Jamieson and his accomplice. They duped her into believing she was in a romantic relationship with the accomplice, who then engaged her in sexual activity, photographed and videotaped her, and distributed the videos and images back to Jamieson.

‘Jamieson is the worst of the worst type of criminal – a child predator who derives satisfaction from abusing society’s most vulnerable members,’ said U.S. Attorney McSwain. ‘The details in this case are horrific. This defendant amassed a collection of child pornography that exceeded 14.4 million images, reportedly the largest collection in Pennsylvania.’

U.S. Attorney McSwain vowed to take swift and severe action against child predators like Jamieson. ‘When it comes to protecting children from child predators, our actions will be swift and severe. Predators, take note: No matter who you are or where you come from, we will hunt you down, prosecute you, and put you in a jail cell for a very long time.’

In addition to the 100-year prison sentence, the court ordered Jamieson to have no contact with the victim or her family for the rest of his life.

The case was investigated by the FBI, the Willistown Police Department, and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
