A horrific case of child sex abuse has ended with a 25-year prison sentence for Russell Lynn Davis, a 48-year-old Texas man. Between June and August 2021, Davis directed and commanded a mother in New Jersey to abuse her then-four-year-old child, capturing the abuse in at least 14 videos. The abuse was uncovered by law enforcement, who found that Davis had been receiving the disturbing videos from the mother. Davis, a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sexually exploit a child, sexual exploitation of a child, and receipt of child pornography.
Davis’s sentence was imposed by U.S. District Judge Edward S. Kiel in Camden federal court. In addition to the 25-year prison term, Davis will also serve 10 years of supervised release. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking unit.
