A 52-year-old Homestead, Pennsylvania resident, Charles John Beanner, has been charged with distributing videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, including some as young as six months old. The charges stem from an international investigation led by Swedish officials and Homeland Security Investigations, which identified Beanner as one of several individuals sharing the disturbing content. The alleged offenses occurred on April 12, 2024, and March 26, 2026. Beanner was arrested on the complaint by agents with Homeland Security Investigations.
The investigation, which resulted in the arrests of Swedish suspects involved in the sexual exploitation, has led to Beanner’s detention pending trial. The United States has filed a request to hold him without bail, citing danger to the community. A hearing on the government’s motion is scheduled for July 21, 2026.
Assistant United States Attorney V. Joseph Sonson is prosecuting the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood. This nationwide initiative, launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice, aims to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
