Christopher David Sheese, a 43-year-old repeat sex offender from Bloomfield, Indiana, was caught trading child sexual abuse material online on June 29, 2024. Investigators with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber-tip that Sheese had uploaded 21 images and videos depicting child sex abuse to the social media messaging application Kik. Sheese, using the account name ‘lovechicks0S6’, traded files involving the sexual exploitation of minors under the age of 12, including infants and toddlers, with another Kik user.
Sheese’s cell phone was later seized, containing thousands of additional images and videos of child sex abuse. This is not Sheese’s first offense, as he was previously convicted in 2014 and 2019 for possessing devices containing thousands of files of child sex abuse material.
Sheese has been sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. U.S. Attorney Tom Wheeler stated that Sheese ‘remains a serious threat to children, having consistently demonstrated a refusal to cease this conduct and continuing to support a market rooted in the exploitation of society’s most vulnerable victims’.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Bloomington Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Adam Eakman prosecuting the case. The sentence was imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Richard L. Young.
