Ralph Talerico, a 46-year-old resident of Ross Township, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for producing and possessing child sex abuse material. The crimes occurred between June and July 2023, and on June 6, 2024, when Talerico possessed videos and images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. The investigation was led by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and Homeland Security Investigations. Talerico’s sentence was imposed by Chief United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon on July 15, 2026.

The case against Talerico was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project aims to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.

Talerico’s crimes involved producing videos of two children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, as well as possessing videos and still images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, some of whom were prepubescent and under 12 years of age. The sentence of 15 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, reflects the severity of Talerico’s crimes.

The successful prosecution of Talerico was the result of a collaborative effort between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. United States Attorney Troy Rivetti commended the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and Homeland Security Investigations for their work on the case.
