Jason Michael Dekaye, a 50-year-old Meadville resident, has been indicted for receiving and possessing child exploitation material. On January 19 and 20, 2026, Dekaye allegedly received and attempted to receive material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
According to the indictment, Dekaye also possessed and accessed with intent to view material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, and possessed obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children in January 2026.
The indictment was the result of an investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations and the Stuart, Florida, Police Department. Dekaye faces up to 20 years in prison for the receipt and attempted receipt charge, and up to 10 years for each of the other charges.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
