Tulsa Man Sentenced to 300 Months in Prison

A Tulsa man has been sentenced to 300 months imprisonment for his role in the second-degree murder of a juvenile. Christian James Harrison, 21, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell on [December 2021] for Second Degree Murder in Indian Country.

According to court documents, on December 2021, Tulsa Police Officers responded to a ‘shots fired’ call. Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile victim with three gunshot wounds. Officers interviewed several witnesses, each of whom identified Harrison as the shooter.

The witnesses stated that Harrison was arguing with the victim’s brother. As the argument escalated, Harrison pulled a gun from his waistband and shot approximately seven times toward the brother, missing him and hitting the victim. The juvenile victim later succumbed to the injuries and died.

Harrison, a citizen of the Seminole Nation, will remain in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility. The FBI and Tulsa Police Department investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Briden prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence. The program brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to make neighborhoods safer for everyone.

Harrison’s sentence is a result of his involvement in the second-degree murder of a juvenile. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of community-based programs in preventing violence and reducing crime.
