Christopher Fitzgerald Spivey, Jr., Distributing Controlled Substances, Florida 2025

Orlando, Florida

A Brevard County man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for distributing controlled substances, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Christopher Fitzgerald Spivey, Jr., 41, of Melbourne, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II after pleading guilty on March 6, 2025.

According to court records, Spivey distributed fentanyl and methamphetamine on four occasions between November 5 and December 10, 2024, to a confidential source. Following Spivey’s arrest, a search warrant was executed at his residence where law enforcement recovered additional fentanyl, drug processing materials, and five firearms.

In total, Spivey was responsible for distributing or possessing with intent to distribute more than 1.2 kilograms of pure methamphetamine and over 130 grams of fentanyl.

Spivey’s conduct in this investigation was not his first brush with the law. Prior to this case, he was convicted of aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer, which subjected him to enhanced penalties.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman.

As part of his sentence, Spivey was also ordered to forfeit $10,500, the proceeds of his drug distribution.

Spivey’s sentencing serves as a reminder of the severe consequences of distributing controlled substances. The Orlando community can rest a little easier knowing that this individual will be off the streets for a long time.

The investigation and prosecution of Spivey’s case is a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors in the fight against drug trafficking.
