Christopher Lee Caquelin, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Iowa 2025

A 41-year-old Fort Dodge man has admitted to his role in a methamphetamine conspiracy that spanned over a year.

Christopher Lee Caquelin pled guilty on March 26, 2025, to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.

According to evidence presented at the plea hearing, Caquelin was part of an ongoing drug conspiracy based in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine from January 1, 2023, to on or about October 31, 2024.

Caquelin and others sold methamphetamine to people in the Fort Dodge area as well as sources working with law enforcement.

Caquelin, who remains in the custody of the United States Marshal, pending sentencing, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of up to life imprisonment, a $10,000,000 fine, and 5 years to life of supervised release following any imprisonment.

Sentencing before United States District Court Chief Judge Leonard T. Strand will be set after a presentence report is prepared.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin C. Fletcher and Jack Lammers and was investigated by Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Dodge Police Department, and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
