Oklahoma Man Arrested for Methamphetamine Distribution
Muskogee, Oklahoma – A 38-year-old man from Roland, Oklahoma, was caught with a detectable amount of methamphetamine on June 1, 2023.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Christopher Ray Amundson, 38, of Roland, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
The Indictment alleged that on June 1, 2023, Amundson knowingly and intentionally possessed a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, with the intent to distribute it.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob R. Parker represented the United States.
Amundson was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing. The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
Amundson is currently in custody pending sentencing for his crime of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. His sentence remains to be determined after the completion of the presentence investigation report.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma will continue to work to combat drug trafficking in Oklahoma and bring those responsible to justice.
