A 40-year-old Oklahoma City woman has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge.
Stephanie Leigh Rodgers, a/k/a Stephanie Larsen, entered a guilty plea to one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charges alleged that on or about August 19, 2024, Rodgers knowingly and intentionally possessed methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, intending to distribute it.
According to court documents, the charges arose from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office.
Rodgers was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing, after the Honorable D. Edward Snow, U.S. Magistrate Judge, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan Howanitz represented the United States in the matter.
Rodgers’ sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but she is currently being held in federal custody pending the outcome.
As a convicted felon, Rodgers will be subject to federal sentencing guidelines, which will determine the severity of her punishment.
The case is a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle to combat methamphetamine addiction and distribution in Oklahoma and across the United States.
