Christopher Shook, Methamphetamine Distribution, West Virginia 2020

A Michigan man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution operation in West Virginia.

Christopher Shook, a 33-year-old man from Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced on October 2020 after pleading guilty to one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine in US District Court.

The incident occurred in August 2020 in Monongalia County, West Virginia, where Shook was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon S. Flower prosecuted the case on behalf of the government, while the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, led the investigation.

The case was presided over by Senior U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Shook’s sentence is the result of a thorough investigation and prosecution by law enforcement agencies in West Virginia. The sentence serves as a reminder of the serious consequences that individuals face when engaging in methamphetamine distribution operations.
