Tiffany Jim, a 37-year-old woman from Church Rock, New Mexico, and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, is accused of assaulting her dating partner, Jane Doe, on September 10, 2025, in an incident that left Doe hospitalized. The assault occurred in Church Rock, and the FBI, alongside the Navajo Nation Police Department and Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations, investigated the case. Jim is charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury and assault of a dating partner resulting in substantial bodily injury.
Jim’s charges are federal, and she will remain on conditions of release pending trial, which has not yet been scheduled. If convicted, Jim faces up to 15 years in prison. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison and Justin A. Garris, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office, announced the charges.
The investigation was led by the Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, with assistance from the Navajo Nation Police Department and Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth Teleky is prosecuting the case.
An indictment or criminal complaint is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
