A 57-year-old Shiprock man is headed to prison after stabbing a woman in the parking lot of a local business.
Tony Tsosie, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, allegedly attacked Jane Doe on August 31, 2025, in the parking lot of Bashas’ Diné Market.
A witness described Tsosie stabbing the victim multiple times after a verbal altercation, despite his initial denials and false identity claim.
The victim suffered serious bodily injury in the assault, which was investigated by the FBI and Navajo Nation Police.
Tsosie has pleaded guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury and faces a 24-month sentence.
