A brutal collision on a New Mexico highway ended with a Farmington woman behind bars. Tenille Quintawna Peshlakai, 33, is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. On September 2, 2024, she got into an argument with a motorcyclist at a gas station, then deliberately rammed him off the road, sending the biker crashing into her vehicle.
Peshlakai fled the scene, leaving the injured motorcyclist to fend for himself. The feds eventually caught up with her and charged her with assault with a dangerous weapon. She copped a plea and was sentenced to five years of probation.
There is no parole in the federal system, but Peshlakai will have to live with the consequences of her actions. The Navajo Police Department and New Mexico State Police assisted in the investigation, which was led by the FBI’s Farmington Resident Agency.
