A Cincinnati man has been sentenced to 150 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution scheme. Ronald Fryman, 38, was convicted of unlawful distribution of crystal methamphetamine after selling the substance to an informant on two separate occasions in 2016.
Fryman sold 27.5 grams of methamphetamine to an informant in the parking lot of the Florence Mall in Boone County on July 21, 2016. He then sold 25.7 grams of the substance near the same location on September 22, 2016. Both substances were confirmed to be actual methamphetamine, also known as crystal methamphetamine.
As part of his guilty plea agreement, Fryman admitted to distributing at least 50 grams of the drug. He also admitted to a previous conviction for First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance in Campbell County in April 2013.
Fryman’s sentencing was announced by Robert M. Duncan, Jr., United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky and Timothy J. Plancon, Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The investigation was conducted by the DEA, with the United States represented by Assistant United States Attorney Laura Voorhees.
