Clois Glenn Raborn, Production of Child Pornography, Texas 2022

DALLAS, TX – A Dallas-Fort Worth radio personality is facing federal charges after authorities discovered he allegedly produced sexually explicit images of a prepubescent child. Clois Glenn Raborn, 49, known for appearances on 97.1’s “The Russ Martin Show,” was charged Wednesday with production of child pornography.

The case unfolded after Raborn’s roommate stumbled upon the disturbing images on his laptop in March of 2021. Law enforcement quickly launched a forensic analysis, which allegedly revealed images depicting an adult male – believed to be Raborn – engaged in sexual conduct with a young girl. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced the charges Thursday, following Raborn’s initial court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Cureton.

The victim’s mother positively identified her daughter in the images, noting both her face and other distinguishing features. Crucially, she also recognized Raborn’s hand in some of the photographs, according to the criminal complaint. She estimated the child was between four and six years old at the time the images were taken. Details regarding how the images were obtained or the extent of the production remain sealed as the investigation continues.

Federal investigators from the U.S. Secret Service’s Dallas Field Office, working in conjunction with the Euless Police Department, spearheaded the probe. The Secret Service, while known for protecting national leaders, also maintains a robust investigative arm focused on financial crimes and, increasingly, online exploitation of children. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandie Wade is assigned to prosecute the case, signaling the seriousness with which federal authorities are treating the allegations.

Raborn’s detention hearing is scheduled for Wednesday morning, where a judge will determine if he poses a flight risk or danger to the community. A criminal complaint is not proof of guilt; Raborn is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. However, if convicted on the charge of production of child pornography, he faces a potential sentence of up to 30 years in federal prison.

Grimy Times will continue to follow this case as it develops, providing updates on court proceedings and any further details revealed during the investigation. This case serves as a stark reminder of the pervasive threat of child exploitation and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable children.
