Cocaine and Gun Charges Land Laurens Man in Prison for Decade
Greenville, SC – In a significant blow to the drug trade in Laurens County, Keandre Armon Connor, 37, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
According to evidence presented at the change of plea hearing, on October 6, 2016, Laurens County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at Connor’s residence and located over 500 grams of cocaine and multiple firearms.
The case was a collaborative effort between the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Assistant United States Attorney Max Cauthen of the Greenville office prosecuted the case, ensuring justice was served for the people of Laurens County.
United States Attorney Sherri A. Lydon applauded the efforts of law enforcement in bringing Connor to justice, stating that this sentence serves as a reminder of the consequences of engaging in drug trafficking activities.
Connor’s decade-long prison sentence is a stark reminder of the severity of the consequences for those involved in the drug trade. This sentence should serve as a deterrent to others considering similar activities.
