Morgantown Man Convicted of Cocaine Trafficking
Arthur Sean Warner, 43, of Morgantown, West Virginia, has been convicted of cocaine trafficking in federal court, according to a conviction by a U.S. District Judge.
The case was brought to light by an investigation by the Mon Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, which revealed that Warner repeatedly sold crack cocaine throughout 2014.
Warner, who pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base,’ is now facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.00. Additionally, he will forfeit $9,365.00.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided over the case.
The investigation and conviction of Warner serve as a significant blow to the cocaine trafficking trade in the area.
