A Wheeling man has been brought to justice for his role in distributing cocaine base, a highly addictive and potent form of the drug.
Cordale Antonio Williams, 41, was sentenced to 94 months of incarceration for his crimes, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.
Williams’ troubles with the law began in June 2020, when he sold cocaine base in Ohio County.
In January 2022, Williams pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Distribution of Cocaine Base.’ He admitted to selling the highly addictive and potent form of cocaine, also known as ‘crack.’
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins on behalf of the government.
The Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives investigated the case.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
The sentencing of Cordale Antonio Williams serves as a reminder of the dangers of cocaine base and the importance of addressing the root causes of drug addiction in our community.
