A Stoughton, Mass., woman injected hundreds of clients with fake Botox and dermal fillers, raking in over $1 million in the process.
Rebecca Fadanelli, 40, the owner of Skin Beaute Med Spa with locations in Randolph and South Easton, Mass., imported counterfeit Botox, Sculptra and Juvéderm from China and Brazil and performed thousands of injections using these and other counterfeit drugs and devices.
Fadanelli, an unlicensed aesthetician, falsely represented to her clients and employees that she was a nurse, and sold these fake injections for a pretty penny.
According to court documents, Fadanelli’s scheme began in March 2021 and continued until her arrest in November 2024.
The med spa owner faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for each of the four counts of importing merchandise contrary to law.
