⏱ 2 min read

Tavoyn Billy Morrison, a 26-year-old from Huntington, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to distributing crack cocaine in the city. On July 31, 2025, and again on August 14, 2025, Morrison sold approximately 3 grams of crack to a confidential informant for $200 each time. The transactions took place at a Huntington residence and outside of it, respectively.

Morrison’s guilty plea is the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Huntington Police Department, and the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force. He is among seven individuals who have pleaded guilty as part of this investigation.

Morrison faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million. His sentencing is scheduled for July 13, 2026. United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the hearing, and Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie Taylor is prosecuting the case.

The investigation and subsequent guilty plea demonstrate the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug distribution in the Huntington area. The ATF, HPD, and other agencies are working together to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking operations, bringing those responsible to justice.
