HARRISBURG—A Gettysburg man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for receiving child pornography.
Daniel Lee Boose, 39, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson on January 21, 2022.
Boose was found to be in possession of more than 1,000 images of child pornography, including images of prepubescent children, much of which consisted of sexually explicit material involving children between the ages of 7 and 13.
According to United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, Boose pleaded guilty to receiving images of child pornography within the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian T. Haugsby.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Boose was ordered to register as a sex offender and serve 10 years of supervised release following his release from prison.
