Federal Prison Sentence for Indecent Exposure in West Virginia

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a shocking case of indecent exposure, Darius McNeal, a 20-year-old inmate at Federal Corrections Institution Gilmer, was sentenced to eight months of incarceration for his heinous crimes.

McNeal, who pleaded guilty in March 2021, admitted to exposing himself and committing sexual acts in front of another person on three separate occasions in November 2019, December 2019, and June 2020 in Gilmer County.

The disturbing incidents took place at the Federal Corrections Institution Gilmer, a federal prison facility in West Virginia.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher L. Bauer prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Prisons investigated the matter.

U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case, handing down the eight-month prison sentence to McNeal.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment within our correctional facilities.
