Daryle Devlin, Bank Robbery, Pennsylvania 2018

A brazen double bank robbery on Pittsburgh’s South Side has left authorities scrambling to apprehend the perpetrator. Daryle Devlin, a 29-year-old former resident of Hadley, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to two counts related to the heinous crimes.

According to authorities, Devlin robbed the Farmers National Bank, located at 1812 East Carson Street, on October 20 and 26, 2018, netting a total of $4,554.

The perpetrator, identified as Daryle Devlin, was subsequently apprehended and charged with two counts in federal court. Devlin’s guilty plea was accepted by Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer.

Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca L. Silinski is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police conducted the investigation that led to Devlin’s prosecution.

The law provides for a total sentence of not more than 25 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Devlin is scheduled to be sentenced on May 25, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. The outcome of the sentencing will determine the exact sentence Devlin will receive.
