Davon Eugene, Gun Offense, Louisiana 2023

Grimy Times has learned that DAVON EUGENE has been sentenced to 57 months in the Bureau of Prisons for a federal gun offense.

The sentencing took place on November 29, 2023, in front of U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo.

EUGENE was found guilty of possessing a machine gun and being a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of the Federal Gun Control Act.

The crime dates back to the discovery of a Glock Model 26, 9 mm handgun, bearing serial number XPT053, equipped with a Glock auto-sear, while EUGENE was a convicted felon.

The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Rachal Cassagne of the Narcotics Unit, who praised the work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

EUGENE will serve 57 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence, and making our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
