Donta E. Bradshaw, Illegal Firearm Possession and Theft, Wisconsin 2024

A brazen crime has shaken the quiet streets of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Donta E. Bradshaw, a 42-year-old resident, is facing serious charges after allegedly stealing a Ruger semi-automatic 9mm pistol from a federally licensed firearms dealer on November 19, 2024.

According to the indictment, Bradshaw knowingly stole the firearm, which is a clear violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1), 922(u), 924(i)(1), and 924(a)(8). As a convicted felon, Bradshaw is prohibited from ever possessing a firearm under state and federal law.

The indictment alleges that Bradshaw’s actions put the entire community at risk. If found guilty, he faces up to 15 years’ imprisonment on the possession charge and up to 10 years’ imprisonment for the theft of the firearm.

The case was investigated by the Oshkosh Police Department, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, and the Milwaukee office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble will be prosecuting the case.

An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The community is left wondering how such a crime could occur in their quiet neighborhood. The Oshkosh Police Department has vowed to take a tough stance on gun violence and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
