MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a grim revelation from the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Drake Ryan Allen, aged 21, has entered a guilty plea for one count of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury within Indian Country. The charge carries a potential sentence of up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The crime, alleged to have occurred on January 15, 2025, in Adair County, was within the Cherokee Nation Reservation’s boundaries. Allen’s actions, according to the Indictment, led to serious bodily injury for the victim.

This charge stems from a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Adair County Sheriff’s Office. The Honorable D. Edward Snow, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Allen’s plea and has ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed.

The final determination of sentence will be made by a U.S. District Court Judge, taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. Until then, Allen remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
