On a sweltering summer day, July 30, 2023, Iesha Marks pulled the trigger, firing multiple shots into a Washington D.C. street, killing 46-year-old Donald Childs. Her getaway driver, Daniel Bangura, sped away, leaving Childs to bleed out on the sidewalk.
Bangura, 22, of Washington D.C., was sentenced to 66 months in prison for his role in the murder. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed and obstruction of justice on January 13, 2026.
According to investigators, Marks and Bangura sped through the busy intersection, with Marks firing shots directly into Farragut Street. Bangura then drove Marks to Pennsylvania to dispose of the murder weapon.
Bangura has been in custody since his indictment in May 2025. His co-defendant, Iesha Marks, is scheduled to be sentenced on June 12, 2026.
