In a crackdown on drug trafficking in Louisiana, two men have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in distributing cocaine and possessing firearms. Henry Holloway, 34, of Tallulah, and Terrance Long, 52, of Monroe, pleaded guilty to their respective charges. The sentences were handed down on July 7, 2026, as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, which aims to reduce violent crime and drug trafficking in the state.
Holloway’s troubles began when Louisiana State Police stopped a vehicle for having an illegal tint. As a passenger, Holloway was found to be in possession of a backpack containing approximately 172 grams of marijuana, 15 grams of cocaine, and a firearm loaded with an extended magazine. Meanwhile, Long’s residence was searched, and investigators found a black pouch containing multiple individually wrapped bags of controlled substances.
The sentences reflect the seriousness of the crimes committed. Holloway will serve over five years in federal prison, while Long will serve over eight years, followed by supervised release. The cases demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement agencies to prosecuting drug trafficking and firearm offenses in Louisiana.
